Trecia

Education Evangelist

Trecia is a dynamic, caring educator with vast experiences. She has worked with exceptional children in Special Education throughout the state of New Jersey for the past twenty-seven years. She has established flourishing programs for Pre-K-12th grade and 18-21 year old Community Based Instruction initiatives. Throughout Trecia’s tenure, she has written a rich curriculum, explored new innovative techniques, and successfully turn-keyed relevant procedures and practices to staff and paraprofessionals throughout her district and others. She has worked with multiple age groups and students with a wide-range of disabilities as a self contained, resource, and in class support/collaborative teacher. Trecia has also worked with countless strong, academic, and athletic young women over the years as a Volleyball and Softball coach and mentor. Trecia earned her undergraduate degree and Teacher of the Handicap certificate from Georgian Court University. She earned her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as her Supervisory Certification, from Caldwell University. She has spent over 25 years in education serving as an award-winning classroom teacher, Board of Trustees President for a Special Education private school, and a curriculum specialist; with a unique focus on social psychology and behaviors. Trecia loves collaborating with educators to bring more awareness and equity while working with the special needs population through innovative, caring, and alternative teaching techniques.
