Education Evangelist

Dr. Elizabeth McQuaid has over 17 years of educational experience as a Director of Special Services, Supervisor of Special Services, and school based occupational therapist. The majority of her career has been in administration (PreK-12) where she led large departments successfully accomplishing multiple goals set forth by the State, district and school community. She is currently serving as a Director of Special Services where she is passionate about inclusive education, student outcomes, continuum of services, universal design for learning and preparing students for life after graduation.


As a lifelong learner, she is constantly advancing her educational knowledge and working with professional colleagues on best practices. She obtained a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (2014), Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration (2011), Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy (2005) and Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences with a specialization in Pediatrics (2005). Dr. McQuaid has experience presenting at both the State and National level.

Dr. McQuaid’s professional development experience encompasses a variety of topics and audiences. She is passionate about the following topics: Universal Design for Learning, Collaborative Teaching, Preparing Students for Post- Secondary Transition Outcomes, Child Study Team/Therapy PLAAFP and Goal Writing, Inclusionary Practices, Supporting Students in the Least Restrictive Environment and Special Education Code.
