Joyce

Joyce is an experienced school nurse educator with a background in emergency trauma for 42 years and over 25 years of experience in school nursing and health education. She is passionate about equipping the next generation of school nurses with the knowledge, clinical skills, and organizational tools needed to support the health and academic success of students.
A New Jersey Certified School Nurse, (CSN), with a Masters in Teaching, Joyce has worked in diverse school settings and brings real-world experience into the classroom. She specializes in areas such as medical management of acute and chronic illnesses, emergency care, and interdisciplinary coordination of care in school-aged children. Along
As a faculty member of Elevate Educators, Joyce designs and delivers educational workshops for school nurses, mentors and coaches practicing nurses to promote student-centered care. Her work emphasizes the vital role school nurses play in improving outcomes for children in the academic setting.
In addition to teaching, Joyce is actively involved in professional organizations such as the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), New Jersey State School Nurses Association, (NJSSNA), and is President of the Passaic County School Nurse Association, (PCSNA).
