Johanna

Johanna is an instructional leader who has a passion for professional development. She began her career as a high school math teacher and quickly realized the importance of creating lessons that students could engage with and understand the age appropriate rationale behind what they were learning. She has served as a math coach, Instructional Chairperson of Science and ELA, has been an Assistant Principal in both middle and high school settings and has had the honor of serving as the founding Principal of the Passaic Academy for Science and Engineering. Most recently she held the role of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, however considers herself a lover of learning and an instructional coach first.

Prioritizing professional learning is a core value Johanna has held throughout her career and she strives to build instructional capacity while working with districts. Johanna believes there is true magic that occurs when teachers come together with a common “why” and are given time to learn from one another.
