I couldn’t wait to spend a day with the Grade 4 teachers from the Bayonne Public Schools. They have embraced the Lucy Calkins Units of Study in writing with a spirit enthusiasm, collaboration and commitment.
They are reflective practitioners and are always seeking ways to enhance their craft as writers. This particular workshop focused on small group guided writing and identifying next moves for students to lift the level of writing. The work of Jennifer Serravallo , 300 Writing Strategies, was used to engage in dialogue and brainstorm lesson ideas. Awesome day with an AWESOME group of educators! Jackie Frangis
